Bob and Jan Burnside have become cornerstones in the support community, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. They founded SPIN - Suicide Prevention Intervention Network - in 2001.

- The Honorable Scott McGinnis, from the U.S. House of Representatives honored Jan Burnside. In 2001, she received the Congressional Record Award.
Bob and Jan have been recognized by the Office of the District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District serving Araphoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln Counties.
"A Certificate of appreciation in recognition of the standard of excellence your agency has established in supporting the rights of crime victims."
In 2005, SPIN was awarded the Annual Recognition Award to Bob and Jan by the AAS (American Association of Suicidology). "In appreciation of your inspiring dedication to saving lives through suicide education, intervention, and survivor aftercare."
